This privacy policy is for this website https://www.fmelearnonline.com and our related study site https://study.fmelearnonline.com.   These websites are operated by FME Training Pty Ltd.  It also covers FME’s use of our area of the ACCA Practice Platform run by TestReach.  The policy’s objective is to maintain the privacy of those who choose to use these websites (henceforth ‘users’), and to meet the obligations of FME and any Tutors who use these websites (henceforth ‘FME’) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its successors and related guidance.

The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations & requirements of the users and FME.  It also details the way these websites process, store and protect user data and information.

FME actively seek to maintain user’s privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience and to ensure all UK national laws and requirements for user privacy are complied with.

FME will not pass your data on to any third party other than where necessary for the delivery of a service or product you have purchased, or to meet statutory reporting requirements.

Tutors whose courses are listed on these websites will be provided with enrolment data for users who subscribe to their products and/or courses.  Tutors will not be provided with personal data unnecessary for the delivery of their service.

The servers hosting these websites may be located either inside or outside the EU.  In such cases the hosting company will be asked to confirm that they are contractually bound by the GDPR.

Retention period or criteria used to determine the retention period

User’s name, contact and purchase data will be retained for a period of 6 years following their last contact with the company so as to meet taxation reporting needs.  User data associated with course activity may be held for up to 36 months after a student ceases to be active with FME and then deleted or anonymised (where anonymous data is regarded as beneficial to future users).  User feedback may be retained in anonymised form for marketing purposes for up to 6 years.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the holding of your data, unless required for the performance of contractual obligations by FME or required by FME for statutory reporting purposes.

Your personal data is required to deliver many of our services.  Without this data those services could not be delivered to the standard described in this website.

Data submitted as part of the purchase process will automatically be submitted to the Tutor on whose course you have enrolled, or whose product you have purchased.  You will also, where relevant, be automatically enrolled on our study site and / or WhatsApp. On WhatsApp your name may be visible to other students taking the same course.

You have the right to the rectification of any data held.  Please contact FME where you believe we hold incorrect data.

You have the right to have your data entirely erased from our records unless there is a lawful reason not to do so.  Please contact FME where you wish your data to be erased.  Erasing your data will result in all courses on which you are enrolled being inaccessible, in which case you would not be entitled to a refund of your course fees.

You have a right to restrict the further processing of your data.  In this case it is FME policy to erase your data unless there is a lawful reason not to do so.

You have the right to data portability.  We will supply your data in electronic form free of charge within one month of a request to do so.

You have the right to object to the further processing of your data at any time, in which case it is FME’s policy to delete your data unless there are statutory reasons not to do so.

FME does not carry out any automated decision making or profiling, other than the notification of Tutors of new enrolments and the marking of online tests.

Use of anonymised student worked questions for teaching purposes

Unless your request otherwise tutors may use all or part of any answer you submit as part of your learning, for teaching purposes at a later date.  This includes any worked answers submitted through the ACCA Practice Platform or the FME study site, or directly to a tutor or FME in electronic or paper form.  Such teaching materials will not reveal your identity as author of these solutions.  If you do not wish your answers to be used in this way, please make this clear to your tutor.

Email newsletters independent of our study courses.

FME Learn Online may contact you from time time via email describing the various offers and latest courses online. Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation. You may request a copy of personal information held about you by this website’s email newsletter program. A small fee will be payable.
